About Me

Hello! I’m a critical disaster geographer based at Monash University.

My research often seeks to postcolonialise disaster studies to understand how disasters are experienced and navigated across different scales – with a geographical focus on small islands. This agenda is pursued across three areas:

1. How families encounter disasters during their everyday lives.

2. The changing geographies of development aid and its relations with resilience, reparative politics and development imaginaries.

3. Creative research methods.
